N45SH Neodymium Magnets with Dysprosium and Terbium

N45SH neodymium magnets are high-performance sintered NdFeB permanent magnets designed for applications that require strong magnetic output and reliable performance at elevated temperatures. Our specified N45SH composition incorporates dysprosium (Dy) and terbium (Tb), two heavy rare earth elements used to enhance intrinsic coercivity and resistance to irreversible thermal demagnetization. Unlike formulations developed to reduce or eliminate heavy rare earth content, this composition prioritizes coercivity and temperature-related magnetic stability alongside the high energy product associated with N45-grade magnets. This makes N45SH a candidate for demanding applications in aerospace, defense, electric motors, generators, sensors, and industrial equipment, where magnetic performance must be maintained under challenging operating conditions. The Samarium Magnet Company supplies custom N45SH neodymium magnets to application-specific dimensions, shapes, coatings, and magnetization requirements. Did you know? N45SH neodymium magnets belong to the Nd2Fe14B family of permanent magnets, known for delivering high magnetic energy in a compact size. The “N45” designation indicates a nominal maximum energy product grade of approximately 45 MGOe, while “SH” identifies a high-coercivity class designed for applications requiring improved resistance to demagnetization at elevated temperatures compared with standard N-grade magnets.
