Our Story

The Samarium Magnet Company was founded in 2018, born out of a deep understanding of the rare earth commodities market. At the time, an influx of rare earth oxides (REOs) was being manufactured and sold below production cost — a market inefficiency too great to ignore.

As a trading hub for industrial commodities, we recognized that rare earth oxides were drastically mispriced, despite being essential for the world’s most advanced technologies. While others speculated on short-term price swings, we focused on long-term strategy — accumulating reserves of rare but undervalued REOs such as samarium, neodymium, and dysprosium.

As the electric vehicle and renewable energy sectors accelerated, our reserves appreciated rapidly. After securing our first major supply contract, we saw an even greater opportunity: not just to hold materials, but to build a full-scale magnet manufacturing operation around them.

Today, we are proud to be the leading importer of rare earth materials outside of China, and a global producer of precision-engineered magnets, specializing in Samarium Cobalt (SmCo) and Neodymium (NdFeB). Every batch we manufacture is custom-built to exact specifications, ensuring unmatched dimensional precision, temperature resistance, and magnetic performance.

Our vision is to rival legacy giants like Shin-Etsu (Japan) and JL Magnet (China) — by building a modern, independent, and vertically integrated alternative that the world can rely on.
